Eating & Body Image Counseling

Many factors can lead to disordered eating and dissatisfied body image: from genetics and societal messages, to unprocessed hidden emotional pain. Discovering the foundations of your food and body concerns, you can help heal the deeper root causes, while also learning new skills for the day-to-day difficult thoughts and behaviors.

In my practice I see clients who have either never required intensive care or are in recovery at the outpatient level for disordered eating or body image, meaning they do not require medical care and may utilize a nutritionist/dietician but are weight-stable and not managing a full eating disorder.

You might be experiencing:

  • Emotional eating
  • Body image dissatisfaction
  • Comparing or judging
  • Working to integrate healthy habits and healthy messages
  • Perfectionism
  • Wanting more mastery in relationships and boundaries
  • Seeking Intuitive Eating support

I approach your concerns with honoring body, weight, and health at every size. Better understanding your relationship with food and your body can lead to not only a healthier self-connection, but a true love of your form and of food.

“You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.”
