You want to dive deeper into the meaning of your eating/body concerns and understand the connections from where they stem: developmental trauma, emotional abuse, family dysfunction, impactful messages, etc. While we discover and heal the deeper parts, we’ll also review new skills for working with unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
My clients either have never required intensive care or are in recovery at the outpatient level of care for disordered eating or body image, meaning they do not require medical care and may utilize a nutritionist/dietician but are weight-stable and not in the throes of major behavior use.
